Medical Sciences Equine Club

Club members learn how to confidently and safely handle, groom as well as ride these horses under the teaching and supervision of Mrs. Judith Baban, the equestrian advisor at the Veterinary School. No previous knowledge or experience with horses is required. All students are welcome to join our club. Membership is free though there is a small fee for riding lessons. Whether you are seeking adventure (just wait till you try your first canter), an enjoyable means of exercise (your legs will thank you), looking for a new charitable project (help us erect a field shelter) or simply wish to share kindness and bring joy to these large and gentle creatures, this club has something for you. The Equine Club also has field trips planned to other equestrian events such as Show Jumping, Dressage shows, Horseracing and Trail riding. This is an excellent opportunity for you to gain an insight into the equestrian world from the convenience of the university. Come join us! For more information e-mail medsciequineclub@msn.com or call 744-9686. Our regular club activities take place every Tuesday (9:00am to 12noon) and Thursday (12:30pm to 3:30pm) at the Stables, School of Veterinary Medicine, Mt. Hope.
